Fall Fashion Frenzy

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love layering, cooler weather and all of the fashion weeks bringing new palettes for the spring. So in honor of New York Fashion Week beginning this week, I'm going to share my must haves for this fall.

Tops:
  1. Cotton button downs with a collar: white, black, and maybe a navy. These go with any and everything and are a good basis for layering
  2. Chiffon/Colored button downs: go for prints like brocade or floral/ then pick up maroon, mint and blush
  3. Denim shirts: lighter washes are better to pair with a variety of things and they are so comfortable.
  4. Oversized sweaters and shirts: good for lazy days and to pair with leggings.
  5. Graphic T-shirts: bands/geek related/whatever you wish.
Bottoms:
  1. Leggings, Leggings, Leggings: do a plain black pair and then add prints like brocade, skulls, floral and leather
  2. Colored Jeans: I personally love dark red and pastel colors
  3. One pair of black denims
  4. Skirts: I love maxi skirts in nude, black and then warm colors.
  5. A pair of trousers
Outerwear:
  1. Plaid: snag a plaid button down from the boy's section and get it a little big to throw over a multitude of things
  2. Cape: I've been lusting after an AA cape for about a year-stick to timeless tones: bone, white, navy or black.
  3. Blazer: Every woman should have a black, grey and fun colored/patterned blazer
  4. Denim Vest: classic
Shoes:
  1. Wedge sneakers: you can find them for cheap and they're really cute and playful
  2. Converse/Vans: versatile
  3. Combat boots: works with anything, great for rainy days
  4. Knee high boots: preferably in a different color than other boots you may own
  5. Ballet flats: quilted and muted.
  6. Loafers: either in a fun animal print or in a classic color such as black, maroon or navy.
  7. Comfortable wedges
Some of the colors you'll hear thrown around this season are: oxblood, royal blue, peach, primrose yellow and pewter grey. As always you should dress according to your tastes and your body! Happy shopping

stay adventurous xo
