OOTD: Pastels and Jeans/ Pintrest!
My friends have sucked me into Pintrest and I can tell I'm going to regret this oh so very much. If you're interested in following my boards here I am: Over here!
I've been waiting for cooler weather to wear these pastel pink jeans I got last Fall but I decided to just go ahead. I threw on my comfortable and ever versatile jean shirt plus a turband I ordered from a lovely shop on Etsy named Glamourband (so affordable and very cute). Completed the outfit with grey Vans and a pair of mint sunglasses I got this weekend for $3! So I was very excited and in dire need of cheerfulness in my outfit today since I had a beast of a test to conquer first thing this morning.
Today is also the start of Paris Fashion Week aka early Christmas for me... As always you can keep up with that over on my twitter and I'll be updating my tumblr the most with looks as they come out. Luckily today I did indeed have my French class and talked to my Professor about fashion week in Paris and he assigned us to read about Chanel. Chock full of style and fashion today, I adore it.

Emmys Honorable Mention: Lena Headley
I absolutely love Lena Headley and boy did she deliver last night at the Emmys. I have a love/hate relationship with this dress. Mostly because I love the idea of it and I love that Lena was ballsy enough to wear it. It's quite deserving of a post itself. This Armani Privé number definitely speaks for itself.

But the fashion is what keeps me alive and last night did not disappoint. There was an influx of blues, sea greens, and yellow. The structured dresses shone last night also! So in honor of the lovely ladies last night, I will try to narrow down my favorite looks, but alas it it hard. But these first three ladies for me have tied for best dressed, I couldn't pick one!
Michelle Dockery looking every bit regal as her character Lady Mary in Louis Vuitton
Jessica Paré in a Jason Wu made especially for her- evoking Old Hollywood glamour.
Emilia Clarke in Chanel. I gasped out loud when I saw this because it was so genius.
and the rest of these ladies round out the list under the cut:

Outfit of the Day: Studs and Prints.
I ordered this studded pullover from DulceCandy's online shop (who is a fabulous fashion/beauty blogger/check her out on Blogger and YouTube!) It finally came in yesterday and I was so excited because I had been waiting for an opportunity to wear a light sweater with these cute leggings I got from LoveCulture!

Fall Fashion Frenzy
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love layering, cooler weather and all of the fashion weeks bringing new palettes for the spring. So in honor of New York Fashion Week beginning this week, I'm going to share my must haves for this fall.
Tops:
- Cotton button downs with a collar: white, black, and maybe a navy. These go with any and everything and are a good basis for layering
- Chiffon/Colored button downs: go for prints like brocade or floral/ then pick up maroon, mint and blush
- Denim shirts: lighter washes are better to pair with a variety of things and they are so comfortable.
- Oversized sweaters and shirts: good for lazy days and to pair with leggings.
- Graphic T-shirts: bands/geek related/whatever you wish.
Bottoms:
- Leggings, Leggings, Leggings: do a plain black pair and then add prints like brocade, skulls, floral and leather
- Colored Jeans: I personally love dark red and pastel colors
- One pair of black denims
- Skirts: I love maxi skirts in nude, black and then warm colors.
- A pair of trousers
Outerwear:
- Plaid: snag a plaid button down from the boy's section and get it a little big to throw over a multitude of things
- Cape: I've been lusting after an AA cape for about a year-stick to timeless tones: bone, white, navy or black.
- Blazer: Every woman should have a black, grey and fun colored/patterned blazer
- Denim Vest: classic
Shoes:
- Wedge sneakers: you can find them for cheap and they're really cute and playful
- Converse/Vans: versatile
- Combat boots: works with anything, great for rainy days
- Knee high boots: preferably in a different color than other boots you may own
- Ballet flats: quilted and muted.
- Loafers: either in a fun animal print or in a classic color such as black, maroon or navy.
- Comfortable wedges
Some of the colors you'll hear thrown around this season are: oxblood, royal blue, peach, primrose yellow and pewter grey. As always you should dress according to your tastes and your body! Happy shopping

Ms. Florence Welch!
I just read a lovely article on her over at UK's Vogue site on her adventure with Karl Lagerfield. Her ethereal style and the risks she takes always leave me in mix of awe and envy. So in honor of her birthday, I've pulled all of my favorite looks of hers.

Absence of blogging.
Sorry about the lack of posts, I've been busy moving for college in two weeks, getting ready to go to a wedding next weekend and just working.
I bought a bunch of things I'm waiting to come in and I'm off to buy more tomorrow and to get my nose pierced finally so expect a post tomorrow night or Sunday night ^_^
Hopefully in the next few weeks I will actually have a decent camera to uphold outfits of the day and personal inspiration so yay for actual pictures on this blog.
Thanks for putting up with me xoxo

All Adventurous Girls Do: Jessa Johansson
Every week I'm going to try and talk about a style inspiration of mine and how to grab some pieces to emulate such a look.
This week is none other than the adventurous girl herself Jessa Johansson from HBO's Girls, who is played by the wonderful Jemima Kirke.
She embodies the whole carefree-but -I still look put together while strutting down the street look. Costume designer Jenn Rogien is definitely making me rethink my wardrobe for this fall. Whether she's going to a warehouse party or holding her own surprise party which turns out to be a wedding; girl is always dressed for the occasion. Damn the internet for not giving me all the reference photos I need for this, but I'll do the best I can.
Who thought that kimono robes could be worn outside the house? Seriously though, it's paired with a messy bun and barely there makeup which makes it an attention getter.

When we first meet Jessa her look is very understated with boho influences. Her cowboy hat, plum jacket and scarf all make an effortless look but as the season goes on it becomes so eclectic.
One of my favorite outfits of hers includes the floral palazzo pants from Zara that are unfortunately sold out.
Then there's her wedding attire. A floral head wreath and a short white crochet dress is so perfect for a wild child wedding. It only made me want to get married like that.
So Jessa has definitely picked up on certain trends for fall that include the western look, continuation of florals from spring and the pajama as streetwear with a fabulous kimono robe or jacket.

Musings and stuff to come darlings.
So yesterday I took a trip to my local mall and while stopping at the Chik Fil A, I saw a girl with the most laid back style. Her outfit was literally everything I've wanted for the past three months and I've been kicking myself all day for not getting her picture.
She was wearing a kimono jacket, a plain t-shirt, dark trousers, and smoking loafers. Her accessories were minimal for she had a gold spiked cuff watch and post earrings. When I tell you that look was effortless. Just bliss.
I had planned to make a video today but my house is seriously full and chaotic so hopefully tomorrow it'll be up. Expect posts on recent purchases, my top ten style inspirations, and some DIY projects I'll be working on.
In the meantime if you want to get in touch with me or have some fashionable inquiries you can contact me three ways:

A guide to summer sales: Go wild
To continue our foray into summer sales territory, we're going to go crazy. Animal and tribal prints are new to me. I personally hate animal prints and I think they're quite tacky when they involve colored cheetah prints etc. But these are lovely and they continue my love affair with ASOS'S sale section.

In today's age of cell phones many of us just glance at them to check the time. A watch has now become a statement, a fashion accessory, and yes it still can tell time. Get equestrian with this horse print (less than fifteen dollars!)
